Accessing information via your Mobile

Smartphones such as the iphone, blackberry, android etc. allow the user to not only access the internet but increasingly to install and run special applications that help them to find and access information wherever and whenever they need to.

Finding and accessing information on the go is not a new concept to many healthcare professionals who require uptodate, evidence based resources at the point of care.  Having access to such resources via a mobile device could potentially allow practitioners to make quicker decisions regarding patient care than ever before.

Having access to websites, journal articles, evidence based tools and others resources via a device in your pocket is a potential time saver for practioners and students alike enabling them to search, access and read valuable information on the go.

This guide aims to give students and practitioners a brief introduction to some of the resources available via their own smart phone.
