The new SGUL research repository has been officially named, following a competition to come up with a title. The repository will be known as ‘SORA’, an acronym of ‘St George’s Online Research Archive’.
The winning entry came from a staff member of the Division of Biomedical Sciences. They won an 16GB iPod nano – and kindly donated it for the raffle which took place at Macmillan’s Cancer Support Coffee Morning event on 28 Sept.
SORA is an online storage facility for researchers’ publications. It will be launched later this year, and will showcase full-text versions and bibliographic records of the research outputs of SGUL researchers. It will be managed by the St George’s Library.
SORA is still under development, but for an early look go to http://openaccess.sgul.ac.uk.
