This session is for those who need to carry out more in-depth research, such as for a literature review, dissertation, research project etc.
At the end of this session you will be able to:
- Create and plan a search strategy
- Use the search strategy in the databases provided by the OvidSP platform (Medline, Embase, PsycInfo)
- Find journal articles using the databases provided by the OvidSP platform
- Set up an account on OvidSP to enable you to save your searches, and set up alerts to help you keep up to date
Prerequisites for this course:
Familiarity with the basics of searching for/finding journal articles
Who is this course for ?
SGUL or FHSCE staff and students, and NHS staff, who have some experience with the basics of research/literature searching and wish to explore more resources for their research.
