The e-Learning Unit at SGUL has been keenly observing changes in student learning habits using mobile devices. Each year the unit releases a mobile learning (m-learning) survey to analyse differences in students’ needs to enable m-learning and SGUL and to develop and implement the m-learning strategy. Each year students who participate in the survey have a chance of being part of a prize draw and this year students are in a chance of winning an Android tablet.
Data gathered from the m-learning survey in previous years has helped to implement SGULs’ iTunesU site, develop and release mobile applications such as MedAssess, MedEdEthics and TGCA (The Genetics Counselling App) with other developments in the pipeline.
Did you know from the students who participated in the survey in 2010 the most popular brand of mobile phone was a Nokia phone (25%), in 2011 both Apple and Blackberry were the most popular brands and in 2012 (39%) and 2013 (49%) the most popular brand was Apple phones. What will it be this year?

The survey will close on Friday 11th July 2014. The winner of the Android Tablet will be notified via their SGUL email provided in the survey (the email address will not be used for any other reason). The survey should take you no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete and all answers will be confidential.
