2012 beginning at 12.00 BST (11.00 GMT). This maintenance is expected to
last approximately 12 hours.

including Web of Knowledge Personalisation. Apologies for any

Web of Knowledge (WoK) has been enhanced

Following upgrade work carried out on WoK, ResearcherID and EndNote Web, the WoK platform now offers some new tools and features that are designed to make navigating searches and citation paths easier.
Key features of the latest release are:

  • Simplified display of the Lookup Table makes it easier to view and identify relevant results.
  • Additional information displayed in the Citation Report allows you to gain more context from your results.
  • Search by accession number or ISSN, or export them from the Marked List, in Advanced Search.
  • Search a broad set of data across a subject area using the Advanced Search.
  • The Subject Area field can be found in all of the databases across the new Web of Knowledge.
  • Quickly and simply disambiguate authors with common names with the newly enhanced Author Finder.

Web of Knowledge maintenance on Sunday 9th October

Please be advised that Thomson Reuters will be performing maintenance to the Web of Knowledge, EndNote Web and Researcher ID this coming Sunday, 9 October 2011, commencing at 14:00 BST (13:00 GMT).  Maintenance is expected to last approximately 12 hours.  During this time, there will be disruption of service and access to these products including WoK Personalisation.

Web of Knowledge – new interface

On 17th July Web of Knowledge will be upgrading to version 5.

Web of Knowledge is the platform used to search the Web of Science Citation Indexes, which can be used to find citing articles, as well as view links between articles using citation mapping and citation reports.

The interface layout is the same.  Changes focus on numerous functional enhancements to search, display, citation metrics, results management and analysis.
